Please call 425-882-1981 (Monday to Thursday 9:00 to 5:00 best times) and chat with Katrina Brooke, the Director, if you have questions or email director@shyneschool.com
You can get in the queue for a class placement by printing and submitting a Pre-registration form with the $25 waiting list fee. The form and fee need to be submitted together, mail or drop them off. To limit classroom disturbances, we offer tours in Jan & Feb and when classes have openings. Openings are posted on our enrollment page. We pause our waiting list from January to March as we accept applications starting January through March 15th for the following school year. Pre-registration form When I have spaces open, I call from the waiting list first. Parents then take a tour and start the registration process. Please call ahead to arrange a tour. Please e-mail the school for The Shyne School Monthly Tuition Sheet (director@shyneschool.com). INDIVIDUAL TOURS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY AT 10:00 OR 11:00 AM, for classrooms with openings call 425-882-1981 or e-mail director@shyneschool.com Visit the Registration page for information about being added to the waiting list and registration steps.

We are licensed to the age of 6 years old. Children can return for the school breaks and summer after kindergarten if they are still 6 years of age and join our Pre-K class. We no longer offer before or after school care or transportation.
Registration Notes:
At The Shyne School there is an age span of year in each class, like elementary school classes. We follow the WA school cutoff date of August 31st, so they are ready to enter kindergarten when they finish Pre-K with us. This establishes consistency and continuity from year to year. We feel it also creates stronger bonds and builds community support between families. Our cut off is August 31st, the same as WA School Districts. Children stay in their class from September to August and move to the next class in the fall.
I am only able to offer tours to parents when a space is available. I do open tours in January and February to enroll new students in March for the following year. Please call ahead to schedule a tour. We offer them at 10:00 and 11:00 AM Monday to Friday. They take 30 to 40 minutes depending on the questions parents have and if children come for the tour.
We offer two sessions parents may enroll for each year. Fall Session will start at the beginning of September and go on through mid-June. Summer Session begins mid-June through the end of August. We start accepting new students March 1 and will continue to enroll until we are full. We pause our waiting list from January to March 15th and then start waiting lists again once classes are full. We operate on a year-round schedule and follow the Northshore School District Calendar for holidays and breaks for our part day programs called Only and Plus.
Part Day Students attend for 180 days based on a 5 day a week schedule. Tuition is billed September to May and children attend September to Mid-June. Families do not pay for breaks or closures.
Full Day students do not pay for breaks and closures, we bill monthly consisting of 20 days a month. Families receive 5 to 8 days a year as built in days for unexpected weather closures. If we have no emergency closures these days are our gift to parents to help with days missed for illness. Full Day students also have a week vacation credit if they attend year round, including summer. For more information, please see our tuition agreement on the REGISTRATION page under Full Registration Pack.
Please call or e-mail the school for The Shyne School Monthly Tuition Sheet director@shyneschool.com, (425)882-1981.
We will begin tours each January and confirm enrollment for new students for Summer Session and Fall Session by March 15th. You can call or e-mail starting December to set up a tour for January/February for open tours and throughout the year for classes with openings. View Registration page for waiting list information and how to register. Please call the school at 425-882-1981 or e-mail us at: director@shyneschool.com. You will not find rates posted on our web site, but we can e-mail you our monthly tuition sheet.
When the parents tour, we want them to gather the information to decide if The Shyne School is a good fit for them. Children are welcome to join you on a tour of the school, but it can be hard for them to sit while parents chat. We do encourage parents to visit multiple schools alone and narrow your choices down. Then take your child for a visit to the one you have chosen, so they are not overwhelmed. After a child sees many schools, they often go with the last school they see because they remember it the best. We do transition visits for the children before they start.
The Shyne Schools operating hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. We offer a variety of schedules to meet different family’s needs. You can choose your days and schedule from AM, Plus or Full Day for two, three or five days with a four-day option for Full Day schedules.
